Falmouth – L’Aber Wrac’h Race TBC

26 June - 29 June

The Race
The Falmouth – L’Aber Wrac’h race is organised by Helford River Sailing Club (HRSC) and is scheduled for Friday, 26th June 2026. It is a 92-mile offshore pursuit race across the Channel to L’Aber-Wrac’h in Brittany, France, and has been held annually since 1959. Being a pursuit race, the smallest/slowest boats start first according to handicap, giving everyone a chance of being first across the finish line.

There are two routes to entering / crewing:

Enter the race directly via HRSC: The race details and entry form are on the Helford River Sailing Club website at
helfordriversc.co.uk
. For race-specific enquiries, contact HRSC Captain Yachts, Chris Hosken at Chrisbhosken@gmail.com or 07974 751764.

  1. Crew on Nausikaa: Nausikaa’s owner, John Watkins, notes that “there are frequently opportunities to crew on Nausikaa”. To express interest, he handles comms primarily via:

    • WhatsApp / phone: 07900 411493

    • Instagram: @yacht.nausikaa

    • (He will give an email address if you call him first)

Since 26th June looks free in Nausikaa’s diary, it would be worth contacting John Watkins directly to ask if he plans to enter the L’Aber Wrac’h race and whether a crew berth is available.
